I love Five Minute Friday! Here are the guidelines:
1. Write for 5 minutes flat on the prompt- no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking
2. Link back here and invite others to join in.
3. Meet & encourage someone who linked up before you.
OK, are you ready? Give us your best five minutes on: Good-Bye
And here is my five-minute Friday:
Afraid of the future. Paralyzed by her own vision of what might be. Handcuffed to pain and hiding from love.
She of all people knew what freedom would be like. She helped others on their own journeys of desire. But, she was tangled in a web of lies from the one who wanted her dead. She knew the Truth would set her free. Free from her self-designed matrix of living hell. And the key to her internal prison was in letting go.
Looking up instead of inward. Inward didn’t work. She tried. She became more tangled in that web of deceit.
When she became low, up was the only view she had. Then, it started. A painfully slow and overwhelming freeing metamorphosis.
Letting go of what is so that she could accept what could be. Trusting in Someone other than herself. Believing His Truth over the deafening and deadening lies.
As quietly as she arrived, she left. That fearful, dead, lonely shell of a woman. Now, she is free. She can fly! Free, indeed!
Sometimes good-bye is the best thing you can say.
