Dorothy, Buzz, and Pumpkin Muffins: To Oz and Beyond!

What a day! The weather was glorious and my kitchen was skipping and buzzing, along with my Dorothy from Oz and my blonde headed Buzz Lightyear.

I love this time of the year. There seem to be an endless cornucopia of adventures to experience and I never run out of interesting and tasty recipes to stir up in the kitchen. This warms my heart because in our family, the kitchen is truly the heart beat of our home.

Before we embarked on our annual Halloween trick-or-treat excursion, I experimented with a new recipe, Gluten Free Pumpkin Muffins. Needless to say, it was well worth the experience. They tasted fabulous and had I not already known, I would have never known they were GF. They are super moist and pumpkinny…my new word of the day!

Here is a link to the recipe: http://glutenfreegoddess.blogspot.com/2010/10/gluten-free-pumpkin-muffins.html

Let me know what you think if you try them. I did tweak a few things, but mostly stayed true to the recipe. Enjoy!

After enjoying our Confetti Chili and warm GF Pumpkin Muffins, we traveled down the yellow brick road to Oz:

And we flew through the galaxy to Infinity and Beyond:

After all the ghosts and goblins were locked out of our home, we cleaned up and got ready for a new week. Wherever your yellow brick road leads, may you always remember that there is no place like home!!

  1. What great photos! Sean is a miniature YOU! Oh. my. goodness. So cute!
Those pumpkin muffins sound yummy. I may check out the recipe since I love to bake all things pumpkin even though we don’t need the gluten-free part (at least I don’t think so). 🙂

See you in a few days!

    • Thank you, Kristin! Yes, you can probably use basic flour instead of all the GF ones. The muffins were extremely moist. I was happily surprised! And Sean does favor his momma just a teency eency bit…See you soon!!
